Dr. Elliott Whitby received his Doctorate of Philosophy from the Department of Microbiology & Immunology from the University of Western Ontario in 1977 after receiving his Bachelor and Master of Science degrees in Microbiology from the University of Guelph in Ontario, Canada during the late 1960’s and early 1970’s.  Dr. Whitby has received five United States Patents and one Canadian Patent for Ultraviolet Disinfection during his career, as chief technical researcher for many leading Ultraviolet Disinfection manufacturers.  He has been involved in numerous presentations and research projects in the Ultraviolet Disinfection field around the world.    Elliott is Chair of the Water Environment Federation Disinfection Committee and serves on AWWA committees, American Society of Microbiology, IUVA, IWA, IOA, and the Canadian Association of Water Quality.
