Jan Oleskiewicz is a professor of civil engineering at the University of Manitoba located in Winnipeg, Canada and trained over 500 wastewater operators in biological nutrient removal processes operation in various training courses across several countries. Dr. Oleskiewicz received his doctorate degree in environmental engineering from Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee. Jan is internationally renowned for research and development in the BNR field and presented papers at leading conference worldwide. His experience includes pilot testing through Europe, Canada, and United States including animal, human, and industrial biosolids. And lastly, Dr. Oleskiewicz has received patents for processing anaerobic biological reduction of sulfur oxides and oxidation of organics, along with biological anaerobic treatment of piggery wastewater; patents in USA, Germany, Poland, and Europe.
